Project Background

Road T7 serves as a bypass for the Ma On Shan new town development. It links up the Hiram Highway and the Ma On Shan Highway. Road T7 consists of a combination of elevated viaduct and at grade carriageways with various types of noise barriers/enclosures provided. Substantial amount of cut slope and reinforced earth are used to facilitate site formation.

YWL Engineering was engaged by the Contractor to provide the tender/detailed design and construction engineering services as follows:

1. Alternative design of viaduct structures
2. Alternative design of noise barrier/enclosure structures
3. Slope stability & earth retaining structure
4. Precast Yard layout planning and design
5. Geometry control for short line match-casting segments
6. Erection Engineering, launching girder modification
7. Major temporary works design
8. Shop drawing production
